This vintage, 36mm, manual-winding Chronographe Suisse two counter chronograph with 18k gold-filled case. It comes with an inner base metal dust cap, and Landeron 48 movement, with engravings by “Robot Time Co” on different parts of the movement. This style of chronograph is consistent with watches assembled by Robot Time Co in New York, likely in the late 1940s to the mid 1950s. This particular watch was consigned by a gentleman and he highlighted the backcase engraving “Flying Marines” and the name “Mickey McCardle 1945.” Our research found that Mickey McCardle (1922-1997) was an American director/actor. The watch is accompanied with books and magazines associated with him.
