The Daytona reference 16528 is rare, and this first edition ‘R’ serial number 16528 with the floating Cosmograph dial is a collector’s “grail” watch.Case is solid 18k yellow gold with sapphire crystal, screw down crown and chronograph pushers, and bezel with engraved “Units per Hour” scale. Note that this bezel is also a rare and desirable version, whose scale begins at 200 Units per Hour and not 400 like the majority of the bezels. The word ‘Cosmograph’ is floating, versus a regular dial where the word ‘Cosmograph’ is vertically aligned along with the lines of text above it. This chronograph carries the Zenith El Primero automatic winding.
